Project Details

The remodel of this family retreat located in the prestigious Four Seasons resort in Vail, Colorado marries modern aesthetics with a warm, inviting atmosphere, ideal for après ski relaxation and socializing.

The design draws inspiration from the breathtaking Colorado mountains, featuring a sophisticated palette of warm greys and whites, cool blues, and natural wood finishes. Key materials include white oak cabinetry and flooring and beetle kill pine paneling that provide a harmonious blend of modern elegance and rustic charm.

The kitchen is the social hub of the project, featuring two distinct islands that cater to different functions. The inner island acts as a chef’s table with seating that fosters interaction when preparing meals. The outer island acts as a serving bar, perfect for cocktails and entertaining guests.

The adjacent dining area acts as a bridge between two distinct seating zones. A formal seating area positioned around a custom-designed fireplace with unique curved steel surround and a more casual seating area equipped with a built-in banquette for games and comfortable seating for movie watching. Strategically placed ceiling pop-ups accent the seating and sleeping areas with more ceiling height while integrating ambient lighting and concealed mechanical systems.

This remodel project transforms this four-bedroom condo into a luxurious, modern retreat that is well suited for family gatherings. By integrating contemporary design elements with materials inspired by the natural beauty of Colorado, the space exudes both elegance and comfort, offering an exceptional living experience in the heart of Vail.
