Currency Collection: Frost Tower Lobby

scroll View Project Description
  • A small exhibit on currency in a lobby.
  • A high ceilinged clean lobby.

Project Details

Designed to house Frost Bank’s currency collection on the ground floor of Frost Tower, this sculptural display case, draped in graphics abstracted from a Republic of Texas ten-dollar note, sits at the edge of the lobby’s retail bank. A vitrine displays numerous historic coins, while a clever two-sided vertical display allows visitors to view both faces of historic bills and bank notes. The case design plays with transparency, layers, light, and scale to pique interest from afar and compliment the collection up close.
