Great Hills Country Club

scroll View Description

This project will create a new clubhouse and activity center at Great Hills Country Club. The clubhouse will feature a grand double-height lobby, a reconfigurable banquet hall, a commercial kitchen, locker rooms, offices, a fitness center, a golf pro shop and cart barn, and a members’ lounge bar. The activity center houses more family-oriented functions, including a casual dining area with a kitchen, a tennis pro shop, locker rooms, and access to the pool area. The buildings’ public spaces are oriented to provide expansive golf course views.

Program elements, space adjacencies, possible design solutions, and associated cost implications were assessed as part of an initial feasibility study. Carefully-considered phasing allows the club to remain operational during construction. Improvements to the site will include new outdoor gathering plazas and an expanded parking area that reorients pedestrian and vehicular traffic to improve flow. The facilities and site are designed to accommodate future amenities such as an outdoor pavilion, pickleball courts, and a golf training building.
