Project Details

Inspired by the name of its subdivision, this home for a family nestles into the wilderness of the hills and embraces its surroundings. The design shows a private, quiet face to the street, concealing both its size and steep grade beyond. Upon entering, the home opens towards the expansive views to the north and northwest and maximizes connection to the outdoors. The interlocking forms of each wing of the house create a stepped composition that mimics the property’s natural grade and highlights the sustainable components of the house.
